Frequently asked questions
Is CoCounsel available in Argentina?
Yes. Thomson Reuters launched CoCounsel Core in Argentina, in Spanish, between late 2025 and early 2026. That is the version sold in the country; CoCounsel Legal, the version with a court-brief builder and authority checking, is available in the United States.
Does CoCounsel use La Ley case law?
According to Thomson Reuters Argentina, CoCounsel Core bases its answers only on the data and documents you provide. Integration with La Ley content is on its roadmap. Today the assistant that answers from La Ley doctrine is the one in Westlaw Argentina, a separate product.
Does CoCounsel draft complaints and answers?
In Argentina, Thomson Reuters describes CoCounsel's drafting as first drafts of contracts, memos, letters, and reports. Argus drafts complete complaints, answers, and appeals, with Argentine procedural structure and case law cited.
Is CoCounsel more secure than Argus?
CoCounsel carries a global vendor's governance credentials, such as ISO/IEC 42001 and SOC 2. Argus encrypts documents at rest and in transit and does not use them to train the model, in line with Ley 25.326. If your organization requires a specific certification, ask us before you decide.
How much does each cost?
Thomson Reuters does not publish CoCounsel's price for Argentina: it is sold through a demo and its sales team. Argus publishes its entry price: from ARS 29,000 per month.
Can I use both?
Yes. A legal department can use CoCounsel to review and summarize its own documents and Argus to produce court filings with verified Argentine case law.
